How we quote a power cutter — send this, not a guess
Brand, bar size, material, and depth beat a vague “need a saw.” Here is what I ask before I burn a sales call.
Most power-cutter quotes stall for the same reason: someone texts a photo of a broken saw and asks for “the same thing.” That is not a spec. That is a scavenger hunt.
I quote cutters out of Freeland every week. The fast path is boring and it works.
What I need in the first message
Brand and model if you have it — Husqvarna K-series numbers matter. K 1270 and K 2500 are not interchangeable on a rail job.
What you are cutting — asphalt, green concrete, cured slab, steel-reinforced, brick. Wrong assumption here is how you buy the wrong blade bundle with the saw.
Depth and access — handheld overhead is a different animal than a walk-behind on a highway joint.
If you do not know the model, send the serial plate photo and the blade arbor size. I would rather decode a plate than invent a SKU.
Where people waste a day
They price the machine alone and forget consumables. A cutter without the right blade, service kit, and a spare belt is a paperweight on a trailer.
Browse Husqvarna in the shop or open a pre-filled quote. Put the material and depth in the notes. I will come back with a package, not a catalog dump.
